Sounds like the classic symptoms of infectious mononucleosis ( "mono") or kissing disease
It is contagious, not to the person, after his doctor and medicine for the kiss.

Melanoma is a form of skin cancer. These may be signs of melanoma long, but this is a mole. A dark patch of skin is thicker, darker, bleeding, etc., is characteristic of melanoma. Moon N, non-melanoma.
